PSSSSTTTTT!

Hey - Lonely here! I am still looking for my perfect forever home, you know... I have been such a good girl here. I would like a nice home where there are no kitties, and enough people to keep me in ear scritches for a good long time. I like Macho Sticks, Rawhides and long walks on the beach (or greenway, or wherever you want to take me).

Oh, and don't forget how blasted cute I am!

Sous Chef Lonely

Lonely has been working very hard learning the ropes in our home. Tonight she is acting as Sous Chef. This job is generally handled by Uncut, but she was too busy promoting for her own dinner to work too hard on ours.

She has been doing so well here. No "accidents", No counter surfing, No competing with the resident 3 hounds -- just a perfect angel.

Lonely the Interested

I was told that Lonely was pretty interested in small animals. We, in the Greyhound Game, call this being Prey Driven. So, OK. I have dealt with other higher prey driven dogs before - no biggie. The only "small animal" that we have in our home is Sonny Bird. He is a Jenday Conure (pronounced: screaming crazy small parrot) :) Anyway, generally all the hounds learn to leave the birdie alone -- he bites their noses. Lonely has been more interested than most. She REALLY REALLY likes the bird. She can not get enough of him. Every time he makes any sounds, or drops something, or plays with a toy, she is there.

I think we will start to call Sonny "Lonely TV."

Making Greyt Strides!

So, Lonely came to stay with me until she gets a "Forever Home." As many folks know, at my house, you have to learn to navigate the Stairs of Death.... BwaaaaaHaaaaaHaaaaa....

This is what it looks like for the hounds that want to enter my home.... Very Scary!!! Lonely had to be assisted for 3 days - literally assisted... move the feet one at a time with the proper order for ambulation. I have gotten GREAT at this over the past 10 years of fostering, though the hounds all learn in their own time. I mean, come on... the view through the steps is pretty scary for a hound dog.

So anywho.... Lonely learned to shoot the steps quite quickly. If she can do these stairs, she can do ANY stairs!! Bring 'em on!!

How Have You Been?

HI! I have been on a bit of a sabatical. Thought I was spending WAY too much time in front of the computer so took some time off. Actually, I was doing the Farmville, and found I had no time for anything else, so decided to just go cold turkey and not use the computer at all. I am only on here now to introduce my new foster mom, Pam. She will be keeping you up to date on my antics for awhile. I will sign off here, but know that I am still looking for that perfect home. :)

A little about me.

Here are a couple insights into my stunning personality that I think you all should know.
I like to eat, so if someone was looking to teach me a few tricks, bribe me with a treat and I am all yours.
I take the stairs like a pro. Don't worry about my old injury there are no problems here. At first I liked to go a little fast down the stairs, but now I am an expert and have slowed down and under control.
I almost always like to play fetch. You can throw a stuffie out in the yard and I will bring it back to you to throw again. Don't worry, I won't make your arm sore or anything, about 5-6 times in a row and then I am pooped.
When I am really excited I jump. Some people find this adorable, I just jump up and down a couple of times to let you know how thrilled I am.
I like car rides. I don't whine or get sick or anything like that. I often just lay down and let you chauffeur me around.
Last thing is I enjoy going for walks, in fact here is a picture of me on one.
